Institute of Reiki is dedicated to offering quality teachings designed to align the emotional, mental, and spiritual aspects of a person.

While many Reiki practices focus on channeling through the physical body, our intention is to educate our students on how to heal the disconnection within.

The Institute of Reiki’s main purpose in developing Reiki 2.0 Kokoro is to bring greater awareness and emphasis on the inner being.

When we speak of the Japanese word kokoro, we are talking about the center or the core being Soul. We are talking about feelings of love. The definition for this comprehensive Japanese concept is as follows:

• kokoro – 心 : a noun meaning heart, mind, or spirit in Japanese.

Our focus is to bring students beyond the illusion of separation and back to their natural state of unconditional love—first for self—then naturally extending to others and all that is life. This is when true healing occurs.

Our hope is to expand Reiki in such a way that it becomes a lifestyle choice.

The two methods of learning have both advantages and disadvantages.

Reiki is a powerful tool to develop, whether you learn it from a digital course or you participate in a live class. The changes it will bring to your life are priceless. Two of the main differences between the two methods of learning are time requirement and cost.

Live/Online Classes

Live/online classes are more expensive due to time and logistic requirements of learning in a live setting.

Online/live class schedules must be adhered to.

When learning in a live class environment, allowances are made for in-depth discussion and broader perspective. The course material is a bit more elaborate, and participation and exchanges between both the teacher and other students are part of the learning experience, all making for a richer experience.

Digital Course Videos/Platforms

Digital courses offer greater flexibility. With automated learning, the course material can be accessed and integrate at whatever pace preferred by the student.

The content of digital courses is straight forward and concise.

There are no unexpected interruptions or deviations.

Reiki benefits every person.

Reiki is a good addition to any holistic health maintenance plan. This form of alternative medicine therapy is gently effective at bringing peace and relaxation, thus allowing energy to flow.

Reiki helps with everything from anxiety and stress to more serious conditions.

If you or someone you know suffers from any kind of disorder, Reiki can help facilitate healing.

Reiki helps calm the autonomic nervous system and brings deep relaxation. This benefits our physiology in many ways.

Reiki First Degree Showden/Practitioner Level of Usui Reiki is open to anyone who wants to learn how to channel Reiki.

To enroll in Usui Reiki Advanced Practitioner/Second Degree Okuden, a student must be certified and be attuned to the First Degree/Practitioner Level of Reiki, either by one of Institute of Reiki’s Reiki Master Teachers or from another Reiki Master Teacher.

Third Degree Shinpilden/Reiki Master Teacher enrollment is available to students who are certified and attuned to Reiki's first two levels, either by one of Institute of Reiki’s Reiki Master Teachers or another Reiki Master Teacher.

One main advantage of enrolling with us for online/live courses, is we keep to small class sizes. This ensures not only a low student/teacher ratio, allowing for all questions to be addressed, but also facilitates better integration of the information presented.

Enrollment numbers may vary depending on the scheduling.

We understand there may be unexpected events that may cause you to arrive late, so we’ve designed our classes to allow a few minutes at the beginning for settling in and recap. If you’re going to arrive later than a few minutes, it’s advisable to connect with the teacher or someone in the group to share with you what you may have missed.

If, for unforeseen reasons, you anticipate being much later than an hour, or you won’t be able to show up at all, please contact the teacher as soon as possible so no class time is wasted waiting for your arrival, and to ensure you rebook at the earliest available date.

If you don’t feel called to teach Reiki to others, it isn’t necessary to take all the levels.

Reiki 2.0 Kokoro’s first level teaches basics of healing self and those closest to you, and how to connect with Soul.

Level II follows with amplification of the energy and transcending limitations. This second degree Reiki is for those who wish to practice Reiki as a profession.

Level III is for practitioners who want to continue on to Reiki Master and Teacher.

Level IV goes deeper and is about ascending with Soul.

The time you will need to study is the time it’ll take for you to integrate the teachings. Appearances are deceiving when it comes to spiritual teachings such as Reiki. Although presented as simple enough, there’s a deep understanding that needs to take place in order for their integral development and application.

We believe Reiki is a lifestyle rather than something to learn and put away.

Courses are booked and paid online. Available spots are filled until capacity is reached. If there are spots remaining, bookings can be made up to 48 hours prior to course start date.

Any changes to your booking must be received in writing by Institute of Reiki one week (7 days) prior to course commencement date. This helps us keep all available spaces filled, and lets us offer individuals initially unable to secure a spot, the chance to fill spaces that would otherwise be empty.

You may secure a spot in one of our upcoming courses by contacting us directly at admin@instituteofreiki.com and making a 20% deposit. The remainder of the course fee is due a week (7 days) prior to start date, unless other arrangements have been made with us.

If Institute of Reiki’s has not received the balance of your course fee within the one-week (7days) deadline, or has not been notified in writing and confirmed your intention to cancel or reschedule, your deposit will not be refunded or transferable. Institute of Reiki accepts credit/debit cards, and e-transfers.

Following the relaxed state we will bring you to, there are a few experiences clients can expect.

· Initially, most clients will not feel any different. Changes to energy systems are usually subtle.

· Some people feel lighter and more energetic, while others report feeling pleasantly calm.

· Depending on Soul’s intention, there could be an immediate shift, a sense of great release, or intense and overwhelming feelings may surface.

All these are part of the natural effects of healing and transformation.

A distant Reiki session is when the practitioner and the client are not in the same physical location. The parties will connect via video conference or audio chat and spiritually.

Energy is not restricted by distance, like our thoughts, it travels through time and space.

Only Distant sessions are available at this time. They are as effective as in person.
