The Freedom In Taking Responsibility For Our Health
Health is like a garden. It needs to be tended to. If we want to thrive, we learn and implement what is good for our wellness. When we pay no mind, and don’t consciously choose for our well-being, we’re content to survive.
Fear is born from a sense of separation and distance—a necessary factor in evolution—not meant to be the constant driver in our lives. It’s a normal reaction to warn us of imminent danger. That’s its only purpose.
When we fall out of love with life, we can sometimes conjure up scenarios in our mind, arrive at wrong conclusions, or unconsciously react negatively. We’re acting out in contradiction to our true nature of living in the promise and faith that each day brings. Recently, we've been subconsciously strongly influenced to operate from a fearful standpoint.
Many people are already feeling the effects of traumatic events, although dubbed with time, they can subconsciously create fear. This makes it easy to be drawn into the fear drama of the masses. With compassion for the suffering of many, they’re in our wishes for positive outcomes. Instilling and propagating fear does nothing to promote reasonable preventive measures but instead incites hysteria.
We choose what we expose our mind to. Heightening our awareness to realize how this affects how we feel is our own responsibility.
One thing this technological age gives us is an abundance of options to choose from. We decide how we entertain our mind. We’re no longer restricted to watch or listen to the mass media propagation of fear. Remaining aware of what’s going on in the world is acceptable—however—there’s a greater need for us to be conscious of how we feel in relation to what we engage our mind in. Fear creates stress, lowers our energy, weakens our body’s ability to function optimally, and our health then suffers.
Safeguarding our wellness shouldn’t be limited to times such as these.
We can rest assured we’re supporting our body’s defenses when we maintain a healthy lifestyle. There’s an underlying freedom in the confidence we feel when we know we’ve done all we can to support our well-being. We’re mindful without being fearful.
A healthy lifestyle includes not letting anything—especially fear—diminish our capacity to heal and care for ourself and others.
Ways to support our overall wellness include:
1) Giving our body the nutrients, it needs by eating plenty of real fresh foods, and avoiding manufactured and fast foods. Staying well hydrated with water.
2) Detoxifying the body, especially if we suspect it’s been neglected for too long will help it assimilate the nutrition required to support its natural defenses. Intermittent fasting, prolonging the time in between eating, gives our body a break from expending energy to digest and a chance to regenerate.
3) Taking a natural multivitamin when we’re not able to eat properly. Adding quality probiotics help our digestive and immune systems. Choosing natural remedies instead of over-the-counter drugs whenever we can.
4) Reducing stress naturally by exerting adequate physical activity like walking in nature, using essential oils, listening to music, and practicing meditation.
5) Making time for enjoyable and creative unplugged activities and hobbies to stimulate and invigorate our whole being.
Results of medical research studies using placebos versus drugs in treatment of conditions have proven just how powerful the human mind is. Favourable outcomes are frequently obtained from simple sugar pills. The belief manifests the anticipated result.
Focusing our attention on taking care of all aspects of our wellness by ensuring we eat healthy foods, get plenty of rest, as well as reduce stress and our exposure to the negative programming of mass media is for our long-term benefit. Consciously choosing health means we’re always aware and proactive. This serves not only us, it gives others another perspective.
From our own personal growing pains in expanding our consciousness, we know a necessary evolution often brings turmoil before transformation occurs. Let us draw strength from the knowledge there’ll be stronger unification, compassion, and many other beneficial values born out of this pandemic.
Despite what it looks like on the surface, as we extend our awareness to include all, and especially those directly affected, we’re shifting from an outdated selective model to an expanding unified and compassionate inclusive awareness. We’re fast moving to a consciousness of respect and appreciation that starts with ourself.
Stay strong in wellness. Be there for others if you are blessed with such opportunities. May we all guide and be guided with compassion and love.
